Ferroxon pigments can be used to add colour to concrete and plasters. The binder can be either cement or lime. As powdered substances, they are also suitable for dry products. The pigments are primarily ferric oxide-based and retain their colour well in concrete and plaster.

Pigments have several applications. They are used in various landscaping products, paving stones, paving slabs and concrete garden furniture. Pigments can give the standard grey concrete slabs used in industrial halls and warehouses a hit of colour when used in the casting of floors. Impressive concrete facades are often made of exposed aggregate concrete, with various shades of crushed rock and the underlying pigmented substrate lending colour to the surface.
